My Qualifications & Standards
At Newton Caravan Services, safety and compliance aren’t optional - they’re built into every job. I hold CSA and STGW certifications, with training delivered by the NCC Academy, the UK’s leading provider of technical education for the caravan industry. Even though I’m not yet formally AWS-accredited, I follow AWS standards in full - including safety checks, documentation, and inspection protocols. Every caravan is serviced personally by me, with no delegation and no shortcuts. Click any image below to view certification.

Training delivered by the UK’s leading provider of technical education for caravan and holiday park professionals.
Before founding Newton Caravan Services, I spent over 25 years in precision engineering - diagnosing faults, rebuilding CNC machinery, and maintaining complex systems. That experience is backed by formal qualifications in mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing disciplines.
I hold National Vocational Qualifications at Level 2 and Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance. These cover safe working practices, technical communication, bench fitting, fault diagnosis, component replacement, and complex reassembly of engineering systems.
My college training includes a BTEC National Certificate in Engineering from The Sheffield College, with modules in CAD/CAM, electrical principles, mechanical systems, and engineering drawing. I also hold a BTEC Higher National Certificate in Manufacturing Engineering, which includes advanced training in engineering science, analytical methods, project management, and design.
I completed a Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering Foundation through NLT Training Services Ltd, with a focus on practical engineering skills and workplace safety. In addition, I hold Level 2 Key Skills certifications in communication, IT, numeracy, and teamwork - all awarded by EMTA Awards Ltd.
These qualifications form the foundation of my hands-on approach to caravan servicing. They allow me to diagnose subtle faults, validate safety-critical systems, and deliver a level of care that goes beyond routine checks.
