These Terms & Conditions apply to all services carried out by Newton Caravan Services, a trading name of Simon CNC Services Ltd. By booking a service, delivering your caravan to our workshop, or using our website, you agree to these terms.
Scope of Services
Newton Caravan Services provides workshop-based caravan servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs. All work is carried out personally by the owner/operator, a qualified technician holding CSA and STGW gas safety credentials. Typical services include annual servicing, damp inspections, gas safety checks, electrical testing, chassis and running gear maintenance and appliance fault-finding and repairs.
Bookings, Delivery and Access to Workshop
Bookings are confirmed by phone, email or via the website and must include the caravan registration and a named contact. Customers must deliver the caravan to our designated yard/workshop at the agreed date and time. If the caravan is not presented at the agreed time (for example, keys not provided or not delivered to the agreed collection point at our site), we may charge a missed-appointment fee to cover lost time and booking slot. If we are unable to accept the caravan for any reason on arrival (safety concerns, access blocked on site or other material issue), we will notify you and arrange an alternative appointment. We will not attend off-site or mobile visits; all work is carried out at our fixed workshop unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Acceptance Form and Pre‑Work Inspection
On arrival we will complete an Acceptance Form recording the caravan’s condition, any pre-existing damage, odometer/mileage where applicable and the agreed scope of work. The Acceptance Form should be signed by the customer or an authorised representative before work begins. We conduct a visual inspection and may take photographs to document condition and agreed work. These records form part of the service file.
Quotes, Additional Work and Parts
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. The quoted price covers the agreed scope only. Where additional faults or work are discovered during inspection, we will notify you and provide a supplementary quote. Additional work will only be carried out with your prior authorisation. We fit OEM parts as standard. If you request non‑OEM or second‑line parts, this will be recorded on the quote. Special‑order parts are non‑refundable; carriage and supply costs are chargeable.
Pricing, Invoicing and Payment
All prices are quoted inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. Accepted payment methods are card (chip & PIN) and bank transfer; cash is not accepted. A receipt or invoice will be provided for all transactions. Invoices must be paid within the agreed terms.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers must remove personal items from service areas and ensure lockers and cupboards are emptied as required to permit safe access. Customers must deliver the caravan to our workshop at the agreed time and bring any relevant keys, manuals or documentation. Customers must inform us of any known faults, previous repairs or safety concerns at acceptance. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect liability and warranty.
Accessory Items, Personal Belongings and Storage
Personal items left in the caravan are left at the owner’s risk. We recommend removing valuables before delivery. We may store the caravan on our premises for a reasonable period while work is completed. Longer‑term storage is by prior arrangement and may incur additional charges.​

Workmanship Warranty and Exclusions
Workmanship carried out by Newton Caravan Services is guaranteed for six months from the date of service, subject to the exclusions below. This warranty covers defects in workmanship only and does not extend to parts supplied (which are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable), normal wear‑and‑tear, misuse, neglect, accidental damage or faults caused by third parties. The warranty does not cover pre-existing damage not recorded on the Acceptance Form or faults arising after the caravan has left our control. Remedy under this warranty is limited to repair or rework of the faulty item. Newton Caravan Services’ liability under this warranty is limited to the value of the work carried out on the invoice for the specific work in question, except where statute requires otherwise.
Liability Limits
Except where statute requires otherwise, Newton Caravan Services will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of use, loss of hire, business interruption, or loss of earnings. Our total liability for any claim relating to a single event will not exceed the amount paid for the specific work that gave rise to the claim.
Customer Property and External Risks
Customers acknowledge that Newton Caravan Services is not responsible for theft, vandalism, or damage caused by members of the public, trespassers, or any items thrown or otherwise impacting caravans or motorhomes while on our premises. Liability is limited solely to damage directly caused by Newton Caravan Services’ staff or work carried out by us. Our insurance does not cover loss or damage resulting from theft, attempted theft, or incidents outside our control.
A separate Customer Disclaimer / Acceptance Form will be signed on arrival, confirming that the customer understands and accepts these terms.

We are not liable for damage or faults resulting from failure by the customer to prepare the caravan for service or from undisclosed pre-existing conditions.
Data Protection and Record Retention
We collect and store customer contact details and service records to operate bookings, maintain service history and meet regulatory, safety and warranty obligations. All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request access to your personal data or request deletion where permitted by law. Certain records — including gas safety certificates, service history, invoices and other compliance documentation — must be retained for legal, tax, warranty and safety reasons and cannot be deleted on request.
Refunds, Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Refunds are issued at our discretion where work is found to be defective or not performed as agreed. To request a refund, contact us within 14 days of completion with your invoice number and supporting details. We will investigate and offer repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. Refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please raise the matter in writing to the contact details on our website. We will acknowledge receipt and aim to respond promptly. We will attempt to resolve complaints in good faith. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts (or otherwise as required by statute).
Insurance and Third Parties
Customers are responsible for maintaining adequate insurance on the caravan while it is delivered to and stored at our premises. We may engage trusted third‑party specialists for certain repairs where necessary; any such work will be authorised in advance and recorded in the job paperwork.
Health and Safety
Customers and visitors must comply with site safety rules while on our premises. Smoking is prohibited in workshop areas. We reserve the right to refuse access to anyone acting in a manner that compromises safety.
Intellectual Property and Website Use
All content on this website, including text, images, logos and documents, is the property of Simon CNC Services Ltd or used under licence. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our prior written consent. This website is for customers and prospective customers aged 18 or over. You must not use the site to post unlawful, abusive or infringing material or to transmit malware, spam or unsolicited communications. We reserve the right to suspend access for users who breach these rules.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website with the updated date. The version posted on the website at the time of booking or delivery will apply to that engagement.
